Sami Selio

Sami ‘Flying Finn’ Selio is a famous powerboat racer from Finland. His career started in 1990 when he won the Finnish Championship. He then worked his way through the rankings, and finally reached Formula 1 level in 1998. He won Rookie of the Year soon after, and has been at the top of his sport ever since. He almost won the World Championship in 2005, but had to settle for a runner-up spot. Then, in 2008, years of hard work and determination paid off when he finally became Formula 1 Champion. It was the pinnacle of an incredible career in one of the world’s most dangerous sports. He also enjoys motor racing on dry land, scuba diving and playing golf.
