Pat Pezzin
Pat Pezzin has duel Canadian and Italian citizenship, and is now based in Toronto. He worked as a restaurant manager before finding poker, hitting huge sales numbers while also studying for various management leadership qualifications.
He started out playing cash games during regular trips to Las Vegas and L.A., perfecting the mixed game variants and posting decent profits. He’s focused more on his tournament game in recent years, and came close to winning a World Series of Poker* bracelet when he finished 2nd in a $10,000 Limit Hold’em event in 2009 for a cash of $285,195. He also has countless other WSOP* cashes under his belt, three World Poker Tour (WPT) money finishes and impressive results at several other major events across the US and Canada. Pat has also won big online at PokerStars, where he’s been playing since 2004. Highlights include a runner-up finish at the 2010 Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP), a win in the Super Tuesday for a cash of $80,000, a 2nd place finish in the notoriously tough $200 Rebuy tournament, and many other cashes that have added hundreds of thousands of dollars to his bankroll.
Pat is also one of Canada’s best Bocce players. It’s a precision sport that’s similar to Boules, and Pat has played for the national team on several occasions at events around the world. He’s even president of the Ontario Bocce Association, a non-profit group that promotes the game across the region and beyond. He is also happily married and has a daughter. He is a member of Team PokerStars Pro and plays online under the User ID ‘Pat Pezzin’.
