Team PokerStars Pro - Noah Boeken

Noah Boeken
In the same way that many other poker plays started their card playing careers, Amsterdam native Noah Boeken’s first tournament was in the strategy game Magic: The Gathering. His talent for the game presented the chance to travel the world to become a tournament champion.
With Magic conquered, Noah sought a new outlet on which to focus his attention and he quickly discovered poker. It wasn’t long before success came his way and he found he was able to make more money at the poker table than he ever could with Magic. He also decided to drop his economics degree studies at university to concentrate full time on poker. Keen to play live he began playing at Dutch casinos where he met Marcel Luske, who was already a legend in the game, and struck up a friendship with Luske, who become a mentor to Boeken.
Since then a long list of results has cast Noah as an impressive player, especially on the PokerStars European Poker Tour which saw his first significant success in season 1 when he finished 6th in the London leg for $30,196. A few months later Noah triumphed in Copenhagen, taking that EPT title and earning $191,355 in the process. Several WSOP* cashes have also proved lucrative, but most recently it was a 4th place finish in the Master Classics of Poker in Holland, in 2007, that saw him win $201,032 and take his combined winnings to just shy of $1million.
With a typically busy poker lifestyle spare time is rare but when he can Noah enjoys travelling and hosting poker shows on Dutch television with mentor Marcel Luske.
For now Noah’s sights are set on winning a first WSOP* bracelet and developing the skill and dedication he has for poker and achieving these goals are surely just a matter of time. As a member of Team PokerStars Pro he plays under the name ‘Exclusive’.
