Hockey legend Mats Sundin is a huge star in his native Sweden. He made history when he became the first-ever European player to be drafted to the National Hockey League (NHL), signing with the Quebec Nordiques for the 1990-91 season. He switched to the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1994, beginning a successful 14-year stint that would see him become one of the game’s biggest names. He rounded off his career with a move to the Vancouver Canucks in 2008, where he continued to excel.
