Team PokerStars Pro - Luca Pagano

Luca Pagano
Luca’s poker story is not the traditional one, but more a reflection of the modern era and the explosion of online poker. Like many of today’s online players, Luca may never have ended up playing poker, a game that now is such a major part of his life, except for the advent of the online game. His initiation into poker came about indirectly. Like many computer whiz kids who like to try out new games, Luca decided to give poker a shot. He began playing just a few years ago at PokerStars, and even then it was just for play money. As his interest in the game grew he invested in a few good poker books and waited until he felt ready for real money play. In a relatively short period of time he proved he was more than ready, and since then has played literally hundreds of thousands of hands online.
Pagano is also making waves on the live scene and has had several top finishes over the last few years, mostly on the European poker circuit. There was a belief commonly held in the early days of online poker that winning online players would not make the transition to the highest level of live play, but Luca is another prime example which shatters this misconception.
He seems to have more going for him than just being a great poker player though. Luca has the typical Italian love of fashion and his boyish good looks attract plenty of attention from the opposite sex, as a quick look through his online blog will testify.
His business interests include owning a nightclub and a travel agency, and his hobbies include computing, financial markets, soccer and blonde girls.
Pagano plays at PokerStars under the screen name LucaPagano.
