Luca Pagano
An analytical mind and a head for numbers are key components of a good poker player, and with that Luca Pagano was always likely to be suited to the game. Before poker Luca had studied computer programming and played the stock market, but it was his work at the table that provided a more exciting way to make money.
He began by playing on the free money tables on PokerStars which he was soon beating and it was not long before his success transferred to the live game, particularly the PokerStars European Poker Tour. In Season 1 he finished 3rd in Barcelona making $24,500 and in April of 2008 Luca made the final table of the Season 4 Grand Final, finishing 6th for an impressive $533,253. He then followed up those successes with a cash at Season 5 EPT Dortmund for $198,900, another at the Grand Final in Monte Carlo, and one more at Season 6 EPT Warsaw, and has since gone on to cash 18 times in total – an EPT record.
Luca spends spare moments, when not travelling the world looking for big tournaments and cash games, keeping his hand in various business interests and he continues to trade stock and shares.
As an aggressive poker player you can expect to see Luca record a major win in the near future and as a member of Team PokerStars Pro he plays under the name ‘LucaPagano’.
