Team PokerStars Pro - Hevad Khan

Hevad Khan
It used to be Starcraft that kept Hevad Khan busy. From Poughkeepsie, New York, Hevad spent his formative years mastering the game and was soon competing on the circuit. But like others before him he would soon find a more lucrative way to spend his time.
Inspired by TV shows depicting Chris Moneymaker and Greg Raymer winning millions at the WSOP* Hevad joined in the craze that had swept his campus while studying at SUNY Albany. Thanks to money given to him as a gift after graduating high school his appetite for poker grew so big that before long he’d amassed a large bankroll and was having success on the live poker circuit. In 2007 Hevad cashed in two events at the World Series collecting over $20,000 in the process. But this would be dwarfed by what was to come in the main event that year. After six days of play Hevad had made it to the final table, finishing 6th for a payday of $965,243. There followed cashes on the Asia Pacific Poker Tour, at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure and also on the World Poker Tour, which included a victory at the Foxwoods Poker Classic in March 2008. He finally found the breakthrough win he was looking for in October 2008 when he picked up a cool $1,000,000 for taking down the Ceasars Palace Classic. This was followed just a few months later by a victory in a side event at the 2009 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure - worth another $200,000.
For Hevad spare time is spent in front of a computer as he remains a keen video game player. He enjoys movies, the company of friends and good restaurants.
With an unrivalled energy for the game Hevad’s name is one that will continue to feature on the poker scene for many years to come and with $1million to his name already a first major win cannot be far away. As a member of Team PokerStars Pro Hevad plays online using the name ‘RaiNKhaN’.
