Greg DeBora

Born, raised and currently located in Toronto, Canada, poker pro Greg DeBora spent most of his teens playing pool, where he competed in the amateur leagues and tournaments across the local area. He was introduced to the game of poker a few years later, and was good enough to make it his full time job after just a few months.

Greg is primarily a high-stakes cash game player both online at PokerStars and in the big games held at renowned venues like the Commerce Casino in LA. He plays a range of games and stakes, including $50/$100, all the way up to $500/$1000. He’s also stepped up his tournament game in recent years, with a run of decent results that prove he can cut it in any type of poker game he plays. He has several World Series of Poker* cashes to his name, including a 10th place finish in a $2,500 Limit Hold’em event in 2005 for $10,295. Elsewhere, he also has three World Poker Tour (WPT) cashes, including a 15th place at the L.A. Poker Classic in 2005 for $46,498, and a 7th place finish for $91,700 at the 2005 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA). One particularly interesting career highlight came in early 2010, again at the L.A. Poker Classic. Greg entered a rarely-seen Chinese poker event and won, beating a small but tough field to win $30,225. 

Away from poker, Greg likes travelling to interesting places around the world, playing golf, and a wide range of sports including hiking, canoeing, rollerblading, water-skiing and snowboarding. He is a member of Team PokerStars Pro and plays under the user ID ‘G DeBora’.
