Jason Alexander

Jason Alexander shot to fame after playing the role of George Costanza in the critically acclaimed and hit TV show Seinfeld. He’s also starred in several films, including ‘Love, Valour, Compassion’ and ‘Pretty Woman’, and he won a Tony award for his performance onstage in a Broadway production of ‘Broadway’. Orel Hershier is one of the most recognizable names in Major League Baseball history, and his stellar career spent firstly with the Los Angeles Dodgers, and then Cleveland Indians, San Francisco Giants and New York Mets, makes him one of America’s best loved athletes. Bill Chen

It’s fair to say that mathematics plays a big part in Bill Chen’s life. Bill has a PhD in math from the University of California, Berkeley, and following his graduation he began exploring the relationship between advanced arithmetic and poker. It’s also fair to say that his research was successful – a series of money finishes at the 2006 World Series of Poker* emphatically proving his theories. Two bracelet finishes, as well as another final table appearance, meant Bill cashed for over $800,000 at the 2006 WSOP*, a remarkable achievement by anyone’s standards. Bill is also a published author, co-writing ‘The Mathematics of Poker’ an acclaimed poker textbook that looks at the game from a purely numerical perspective. Darus Suharto

The 2008 World Series of Poker* was a special time for Darus Suharto. Based in Canada, but originally from Indonesia, Darus made his way to Las Vegas to play in the Main Event, hoping for a good run. There, he joined a field of 6,838 players, made the final table, became one of the November Nine and ultimately cashed in sixth place for $2,418,562. In that one performance he went from keen amateur player to poker millionaire. This was not Darus’ first cash though, as he made the top 500 of the Main Event in 2006. An accountant by trade, Darus has been playing poker since graduate school, and away from the tables he enjoys cinema, reading, music and travelling. Gualter Salles

Professional race car driver Gualter Salles can look back at a distinguished career on the motorsports circuit. After growing up in Brazil, Gualter started out driving go-karts, before moving on to Formula 3, CART, and finally the Indy Racing League, with his career highlight a victory in the Formula 3 British Grand Prix in 1995. Post-racing, Gualter moved into team management and is now a team owner. He has found considerable poker tournament success since taking up the game in 2006, cashing in several big live events including EPT London, the WSOP* Main Event, and the Five Diamond World Poker Classic. He also hosts of PokerStars Latin American Poker Tour coverage on television in his home country of Brazil.
