Not only one of Asian poker’s most recognizable players, Celina Lin is also one of the most skilled too. Originally from Shanghai, she now calls Melbourne, Australia home, and she’s a regular at that city’s iconic poker room at the Crown Casino. She learnt the game playing at that venue, and after an initial winning session at the cash tables, she hasn’t looked back since. She meticulously learnt as much as she could about the game and then incredibly built a $10,000 bankroll online in just three weeks. She’s now one of the region’s top players and a member of Team PokerStars Pro.

The Macau Poker Cup is a hotbed of poker for the region, and Celina has two Red Dragon Main Event wins to her name. The first victory came in 2009, when the tournament attracted a record-breaking field of 168 players. She notched $50,932 for the win, plus huge bragging rights amongst her peers. Celina then won again in 2012, cashing this time for a huge payday of $110,077 - the biggest of her career so far. She’s also a regular on the PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) as well as the Australia New Zealand Poker Tour (ANZPT). She has two cashes on the ANZPT to her name, in Adelaide and Sydney - with the Sydney result a highly impressive third in the High Roller event, which earned her $29,255 in prize money. She continues to play lots of events on those tours and is always high up in the chip counts.

Celina uses yoga and Pilates to relax away from the poker tables, and also plays a lot of tennis. Other favorite activities include watching movies and reading, plus she also likes to spend as much time as possible with friends and family.
