Team PokerStars Pro - Alex Kravchenko

Alex Kravchenko
Born in Russia, poker pro Alex Kravchenko invested in the business world before making his mark on the poker scene. It was a good way to make a living, but Alex realized there was even more money to be made at the local casino. After starting out on the blackjack tables, he made the switch to poker, and soon found himself making more cash than ever before.
Having made many final table and cash finishes in live tournaments across Europe, Alex experienced the highest point of his career so far in 2007. He travelled to Las Vegas to play at the World Series of Poker* and won his first bracelet, in the $1,500 Omaha Hi/Lo Spilt 8 or Better event, a victory that was worth $228,466. He followed this up with a final table appearance in the $5,000 H.O.R.S.E. event, and three more cash finishes. But it was in the Main Event where he made the really big money. After days of tense action, Alex found himself on the final table, eventually finishing in 4th place for $1,852,721. This was followed two months later with a final table appearance in the H.O.R.S.E. event at the World Series of Poker* Europe in London. He also made a cash finish at the WPT Mandalay Bay Poker Championship, and finished the year off in style with a 3rd place finish at the Moscow Millions. Alex currently sits at the top of the all time money list for Russian players, with total live tournament earnings of more than $2,500,000.
In his spare time, Alex enjoys spending time at home with his wife and children, as well as travelling the globe. He also likes playing sports such as football, tennis and basketball.
With a World Series bracelet, many final table appearances and millions in tournament winnings, Alex has more than proved he has what it takes to make it in the world of poker. He is a member of Team PokerStars Pro and plays online with the screen name ‘Kravchenko’.
