Season 2 is on the cards! After the unprecedented success of our TV show, the powers that be have declared we will film a second season of the Million Dollar Challenge. Which means we’ll need more contestants - so more freerolls and more auditions. Stay tuned for further details.
We have selected all the contestants for this current season. However, as stated above, we will be filming a second season (woop woop!). Any videos received after the cut-off date for 2009 (first week of November) will be put forward for consideration for season 2. Rest assured, no submitted video will slip through the net. All will be reviewed and all will be considered for a show. And everyone who submits a video will be told whether they have been accepted or not.
It's the Million Dollar Challenge - the exclusive promotion that gives you the chance to play poker on TV for up to $1,000,000 against poker legend and Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu - and you can enter for free.
Simply play in any of the Million Dollar Challenge daily freerolls (which run four times per day until December 20) and finish in the top ten. After that you need to submit a short video, showing why you think PokerStars should send you to star in this new and exciting poker show. If you make a good impression, you could be heading off to the TV studio in Los Angeles to play for life-changing money. You can even bring along two poker buddies to cheer you on!
Contestants chosen from the freeroll winners will play in a series of heads-up poker matches, facing off against Team PokerStars Pros and other celebrity poker players. Daniel Negreanu will be on hand to give you expert coaching and help you move onwards while collecting cash along the way (up to $25k). Then it's decision time. Do you take the money and go home happy - or play against him and win even more - a guaranteed $100k?
Beat Daniel and you'll be going home with at least $100k and the chance to play for the $1,000,000 first prize.
How about this for a story of biblical proportions? You’ve probably heard about Father Andrew Trapp, the priest from South Carolina, who must have had someone watching over him. How to Qualify
- Enter a free-to-enter qualifier on PokerStars.
- Finish anywhere in the top ten to be pre-qualified for casting.
- Read your winners email and follow the instructions on how to submit your audition video
- Submit the two minute video telling us why you should play for $1,000,000 on TV.
You can find the Million Dollar Challenge qualifier tournaments by opening the PokerStars lobby and clicking ‘Tourney’ and ‘Regional’. They’re called ‘FOX - PS Million Dollar Challenge [North America]’. Simply scroll to locate the qualifiers, running every evening at 8, 9, 10 and 11pm ET until December 20.
