National Heads-Up Poker Championship

PokerStars wants to send all you US players to Las Vegas for the National Heads-Up Poker Championship - with our series of daily free-to-enter tournaments. Simply make it to the freeroll Grand Final and you’ll be in with a chance of winning a prize package worth over $21,000 - including your tournament buy-in, hotel accommodation and money for expenses.

The National Heads-Up Poker Championship is the ultimate test of one-on-one poker skills. It’s one of the highest rated poker shows on TV, with 64 of the world’s best players battling head-to-head in a series of poker matches. The winner advances and the loser goes home. How to qualify for the freerolls

We are running daily free-to-enter qualifier tournaments from December 20 - February 20, 2009.

Round 1

Round 1 Freerolls tournaments run every day, at 19:00 and 22:00 ET. Players that finish in the top 200 will advance to Round 2.

To register, open the PokerStars lobby, click ‘Tourney’ & ‘Regional’. The tournaments will be listed as ‘Heads-Up Qualifying – Round 1 (U.S. players)’.

Round 2

Round 2 tournaments take place at 16:00 ET, on the following dates: December 27, January 3, January 10, January 17, January 24, January 31, February 7, February 14 and February 21. Finish in the top 56 and you’ll get to play in the Grand Final!

Last Chance: We’re also giving you an extra chance to win your seat at the Grand Final - with a one-off qualifier tournament at 20:00 ET, February 21. Players who finish in places 1-8 will make it through to the Grand Final.

Grand Final

The Grand Final takes place at 15:00 ET, February 22, 2009 - with two FREE National Heads-Up Championship prize packages being awarded.

Please Note:

• This tournament is for U.S. players only. Players may participate in as many Round 1 tournaments as they like. You may play in as many Weekly Round 2 tournaments as you can qualify for. While you may qualify for, and play in more than one Weekly Round 2, you cannot transfer unused Round 2 tickets, and they carry no value after the promotion ends. You are also only able to qualify for the Grand Final once. Any extra seats will be forfeited and awarded to the next eligible qualifier in the Round 2 tournament where you won the extra seat. If you have already won a seat in the final please do not continue playing, as additional seats have no value.
• Prize package winners must be able to travel between March 5-8 2009. Winners are responsible for booking their own tickets to Las Vegas. If a winner is unable to attend the event their prize package will be forfeited with no consideration and awarded to the next eligible player.
