The Challenge is on. Three players, Stavros 'IDOLLS' Kalfas, George 'gkap13' Kapalas and Alexis 'J0hnny_Dr@m@' Zervos have been selected to compete to be the best all around player for 2011, with the winner receiving a player's contract for 2012 - and you can get in on the action.

You can play in free-to-enter tournies against the three Challengers every month with big cash prize up for grabs. Each freeroll has a prize pool of €500, and €500 bounties on the heads of the Challengers. In addition, any Challenger who guests in another Challenger’s tourney will have a €100 bounty on their head! The events will be Heads-Up Shootout Multi-Table Tournaments, and big on excitement!

The three players are currently taking part in PokerStars Challengers: Greece, a competition that sees some of Greece’s best poker talents face-off for a huge prize. The three hotshots are locked in battle as their live results, as well as performances in PokerStars biggest online tournament series, are ranked across a whole year of poker.

How to Challenge the Challengers

Every month you can play in a Heads-Up Shootout tournament with each of the Challengers, at the dates and times scheduled below. Locate all the events in the PokerStars.net lobby by selecting ‘Tourney’ > ‘Regional’.

On Thursday, December 29, the top 2 finishers from each of the previous three Heads-Up Shootouts, plus the three Challengers, play a special Single Table Tournament, with a €1,000 prize pool awarded as below.

If any of the Challengers cash in the Single Table Tournament, winnings will be donated to charity by the end of the year.
