Charity Tournament - Ante Up For Africa Europe

Ante Up For Africa

Ante Up for Africa at EPT Monte Carlo

The European Poker Tour Monte Carlo Grand Final is the continent’s biggest poker event, and it’s only right that Ante Up for Africa (AUFA) is involved. AUFA is well known around the world for raising money and awareness for the humanitarian crisis in Darfur, Sudan, and for the first time it will be part of the EPT. We want you to join a star-studded line-up of pro players and celebrities to show your support and be part of this very special event.

The Ante Up for Africa tournament will take place the day before the Grand Final begins, April 27, and all competitors will be asked to donate their winnings to Not On Our Watch and Enough – two organisations that provide vital help to the region, and the winner will receive a 2010 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure prize package.

The last AUFA tournament took place last summer in Las Vegas, and Team PokerStars Pro provided many of the participants. Daniel Negreanu and Joe Hachem joined Hollywood A-listers including Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Ray Romano, Don Cheadle and Friend of PokerStars Jason Alexander at the tables, to play out a great tournament and raise lots of money.

PokerStars is committed to helping those in need around the world. We run charity tournaments for all kinds of causes, and have links with numerous charity organisations. With your help, Ante Up for Africa will be a great addition to the European Poker Tour Grand Final.
